The IS campus provides a safe and friendly student-oriented environment which offers all the benefits of city life as well as easy access to outstanding countryside.
Whatever your tastes, there is something for you whether your interests are cultural, artistic, sporting or purely social.
Major theatre complexes show the best of national and international performances with smaller venues providing exciting attractions. London and the surrounding areas host many major sporting events – international cricket , football, tennis and horse-racing are obvious examples but there are opportunities to watch or participate in less well known sports such as windsurfing , badminton or canoeing among many others.
If you enjoy history then there are many opportunities to visit historic sites which are famous worldwide. Such places as Hampton Court and Windsor Castle are easily accessible from the IS campus.
There are numerous art galleries and exhibitions to attend, music festivals both modern and classical as well as some of the world’s most famous permanent collections – traditional and contemporary. Check the newspapers or a listing magazine like Time Out for up-to-date information on temporary exhibitions. Otherwise here are a few suggestions.
